MARY MCFARLAND
MARY MCFARLAND’s background includes a career as a technical writer in the software industry and experience founding and marketing competitive small business startups. Recognizing the challenges authors face, she founded Red Girl Digital Media LLC, a tech startup focused on book marketing for authors. Mary writes about digital marketing and, in addition, she is a member of Killer Nashville’s faculty, in Nashville, where she most recently taught a master class on designing a book marketing campaign.
A Golden Pen award-winner and a passionate eco-activist, Mary writes psychological thrillers and true crime novels at her beloved Mucky Manor, where she is a tomato wine vintner and renowned chicken whisperer. Her short stories appear in Ohio Writers’ Association Anthology, The Women of Appalachia Project Anthology, and others. Her techno-thriller, Van Gogh Syndrome, is available on Amazon, and she has several upcoming 2026 releases.
